Kamil Pruchnik, PhD currently works as a Structured Finance Manager at the European Investment Fund (part of the European Investment Bank). For his contribution in promoting EU instruments in Poland, he received a special recognition by the Polish Banks Associations in 2023.
In the past, Mr. Pruchnik worked at HSBC Group (in Poland and in the UK) in various roles including: corporate governance, strategy and commercial banking. Before transitioning to corporate banking, he started his career as an economist working at: NBP (Polish Central Bank), the World Bank and the UN.
Mr. Pruchnik received Ph.D. at Warsaw School of Economics (thesis advisor: prof. L. Balcerowicz, f. Minister of Finance and f. Governor of NBP). He conducted parts of his studies and research at Georgetown University and Harvard University. For his dissertation, Mr. Pruchnik won first prize in the competition organized by the Polish Bank Guarantee Fund (2023).
