On December 19, 2023, Maciej Lasek, PhD, was nominated for the position of Secretary of State in the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy. On 20 December 2023, he was nominated for the position of Government Plenipotentiary for Central Communication Port.
Aviation expert with over 25 years of experience, Dr. n. techn. Military University of Technology. For 10 years he was a researcher at the Institute of Aviation.
From 2002 to 2016, he was a member, then Deputy Chairman, and since 2012 Chairman of the National Commission for the Investigation of Air Accidents. He specializes in transport safety, including air transport. Since 2010, he has been an academic lecturer at the Warsaw University of Technology.
Airplane and glider pilot with qualifications of glider instructor class I and test pilot class I.
In the years 2003-2007 he was the editor-in-chief of the scientific journal "NiT – Science, Innovations, Technology".
A graduate of the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology.
