CEO, Elemental Strategic Metals

Michał Zygmunt is experienced CEO, leader in development of large industrial projects with strong R&D component and management of industrial companies.

He graduated from the Law Faculty of the Jagiellonian University and Executive International MBA studies at the Cracow Business School at the Cracow University of Economics and in Gallen Business School (Switzerland) as well as postgraduate engineering studies at AGH Technical University of Krakow.

He started his professional career in Can-Pack Group where he grew and took responsibility for projects development and management  of the glass packaging division in Europe and India. He was in charge of a number of investment industrial projects in the manufacturing sector in Poland, India and in the Middle East.

Currently he manages growth industrial projects in Elemental Group.

He is CEO of Elemental Strategic Metals, that operates a large state-of-the-art multimetal extraction facility in Poland focused on recovery of battery metals and platinium group metals.

Elemental Group is a global leader in urban mining, with a focus on extracting strategic metals from various recycled metal sources such as spent automotive catalysts (SACs), waste electrical and electronic equipment, printed circuit boards (PCBs), used Li-Ion batteries, and non-ferrous scrap metal. The company recovers strategic metals such as platinum group metals, copper, and other base and precious metals in an environmentally friendly way.

Elemental currently has subsidiaries in many countries on three continents (Europe, Asia and North America).
